Why didn't they record the bongs and then just play them over a loudspeaker until the renovations are finished?
While they are at it, they might as well play the adhan too, since that is clearly the most important thing these days.

Re: Brexit consequences

Yet you have a laptop/smartphone that allows you to post on here? You seem surprised? Some homeless people have whole websites http://lazybeggers.com/en/index.html Well they title themselves honestly, so I will give them that. They CHOOSE their lives, they enjoy it. No issue with that if that is wh...

Re: Brexit consequences

Yet you have a laptop/smartphone that allows you to post on here? Ah right - you are defining privileged as anyone who has a smartphone/laptop - presumably flat screen TV like all the benefit scroungers do. Well yes, its not rocket science, if you can afford a laptop, smartphone etc, then you are n...

Re: Brexit consequences

I voted remain, I am currently in temporary accommodation, I expect that I will be refused permanent accommodation in the next couple of months and go back to sleeping on the streets. Yet you have a laptop/smartphone that allows you to post on here? I am so privileged, I will have the pick of sleep...

Re: Brexit consequences

I voted Remain mainly because Brexit involves a huge risk to this country's wealth and wellbeing, and I don't think taking such a risk is justified. Every time we go to war there is a risk, as we are seeing now in the backlash against the West from Islamic countries. Life is a risk, crossing the ro...

Reasons why "I" am better than you....

We all deep down think we are better than other people for whatever reason. Might be we think we know more about a subject, or that we are a better driver, or whatever. So lets put a faux humble attitudes to one side for once, and post why you think you are better than others. No judgements, no argu...

Re: Electric cars

It's not either/or There's already plenty of investment in Carbon Capture and storage. However in our free market, the invisible hand has directed that money to be more promising if it can deployed at a centralised power production facility rather than expecting portable units to be cost effectivel...

Since the forum moved places and I am rarely about, a quick re-intro for anyone who cares. For the record this is the real me and Tom can confirm this, I may be here a lot, or not at all, depends on various life issues. Re: Chlorinated chicken

I don't think is the chlorine itself that's the problem, its that the results of US Style intensive farming procedures are only fit for human consumption if all the filth and disease is bleached off of them. Where as the UK methods are completely humane and lovely, and the chickens lead a lovely ha...

Re: Brexit consequences

So funny to read the negativity on here. I feel like I am drowning in a pool of left wing propaganda here. Instead of moaning, I am using this time before Brexit happens, to make sure I will be fine, and that I will benefit from the whole thing. I feel like most of the negativity being spouted here ...

Re: Electric cars

Instead of pumping trillions of pounds into electric cars, these companies should be pumping that money into air scrubbers that clean the air, and then let people drive what they want.

Re: Photobucket

I got caught out having hotlinked some photobucket images from a decade ago! lol
Also worth noting that photobucket also started hijacking pages too, mainly from my forum, so if you ever have anything like this happen, look for photobucket code
