Re: Suguru.

I love cryptic crosswords, but when it comes to numbers ... :???: :-(

Re: Boris Johnson on the Burka

(It's a SarcMark TM and used to indicate sarcasm where there might be some doubt. I used google image search to try to find a smaller one and oddly it suggested that it was a picture of Henry Purcell :con ) Your example resized: (via http://www.picresize.com/ ) http://picresize.com/images/rsz_1rsz_...

Re: Boris Johnson on the Burka

Whatever his reasons for saying what he did, the words are true! - the Batman face coverages DO look like letterboxes, as many would agree (including some of the wearers themselves) - and as far as an apology is concerned, good for him for refusing; it really is not warranted. The whole thing is so ...

Re: Police Protection

Well, providing 24-hour protection in one place requires four people, working shifts (might get away with three for a short period). And there were - how many - about six boys? Thorough protection gets very expensive very quickly, especially with overtime / unsocial hours bonuses.... Speaking of .....

Re: US Presidential Election.

Apologies if this has already been covered here - a bit behind the times ... but I've only just discovered this and it did so make me giggle. :-) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39090334 'Witches cast 'mass spell' against Donald Trump' At the stroke of midnight on Friday, followers of wit...

You don't seem that keen on rationalwiki.

Re: " Gary Mannion discovers the world "

Ketchup - as far as I can see your link is to a forum thread on wikipedia rather than rationalwiki - I might have missed something though. You might have missed the fact that the link relates to the Editing Pages section of Wikipedia and some of its resident Editors , and the origin and raison d'êt...

Re: " Gary Mannion discovers the world "

Sorry for the confusion - I looked up Gary Mannion (knew nothing about him) and while reading some of the denunciations of him I found a reference to the "rationalwiki" site, which I hadn't come across before and seems quite interesting. Huge : thdown for the so-called "rationalwiki" site. T...

I did a bit of searching out of curiosity and stumbled across this: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Main_Page

Looks promising....?
Am I missing something there?

Re: " Gary Mannion discovers the world "

Can't find my favourite smiley for this subject ... (beating that poor horse with a stick) . Where did it go? None of the others express the appropriate sentiment. From Psychic News magazine - June 2018 edition: Despite his exposure as a fraud, Mannion continues to work in a number of capacities wit...

Does anyone on this forum think he is anti-Semitic?
I know, for a fact - on very good authority - that he is not.

The idea couldn't be further from the truth. It's just dirty politics in action...

Royal wedding 2018

Raincheck anyone? If you are one of those who would prefer to be watching the paint dry on the Forth Bridge, here are some choice alternative ways to escape the manic fever of the day: (I'm opting for No. 6.) 'Royal wedding 2018: Ten different ways to spend the day' Plus - (for anyone that's...

Migraine is more than 'just a headache'

'New drug works when others fail, researchers say' Erenumab is a monthly injection that might soon be offered to patients on the NHS if the cost can be justified. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-43781227 Migraine is very common - it affects one in seven British people - and can be hard to stop. Re: Puzzling question .... ?

PS: Yesterday the main ceiling light went off here in the living room. Kaput! It's one of those everlasting bulbs, long life - which hasn't been in there all that long .. 6 months at the most. Wasn't too bothered, turned off the switch and thought I'll put a new bulb in today - I've got plenty of ta...
