Re: " Gary Mannion discovers the world "

This 52 min interview was broadcast on 15 August 2018, the interviewer introduces Gary as "a great friend of Victor and Wendy Zammit", who apparently have been "singing his praises" and think he is "terrific". Gary Mannion is a young Australian who is a skilled psychic surgeon and a developing physi...

Cheap flights anyone?

Just wanted to share this. No matter how many times I hear this song (otherwise known as The Feckity Feck Song) or watch this video it never fails to have me in stitches. Anyone who has ever flown to or from Ireland with Ryan Air via Stansted Airport will know what I mean because although it's funne...

The Irish word for 'seven' is seacht (pronounced 'shocked') . Shocked that it's only been 7 years ... ... it really does seem a ...

Re: Which instrument for you?

Actually, the instrument I would most like to be able to play, because for me it produces the most evocative sound, is the piano accordion. I was rather hoping that the piano accordian would have been the chosen quiz instrument for me, as I do own and play one. Needless to say, Peter Sarsted's 'Whe...

Re: Which instrument for you?

You should learn the bass No instrument is given as little credit for doing as much work as the bass. Electric or acoustic, double or synth, the low end rumble is what gives music its form and power, and without it, Beethoven would sound weedy, funk would sound silly and drum 'n' bass would be just...

(It's a SarcMark TM and used to indicate sarcasm where there might be some doubt. I used google image search to try to find a smaller one and oddly it suggested that it was a picture of Henry Purcell :con ) Your example resized: (via http://www.picresize.com/ ) http://picresize.com/images/rsz_1rsz_...

Re: Boris Johnson on the Burka

Whatever his reasons for saying what he did, the words are true! - the Batman face coverages DO look like letterboxes, as many would agree (including some of the wearers themselves) - and as far as an apology is concerned, good for him for refusing; it really is not warranted. The whole thing is so ...

Re: Police Protection

Well, providing 24-hour protection in one place requires four people, working shifts (might get away with three for a short period). And there were - how many - about six boys? Thorough protection gets very expensive very quickly, especially with overtime / unsocial hours bonuses.... Speaking of .....

Re: " Gary Mannion discovers the world "

Ketchup - as far as I can see your link is to a forum thread on wikipedia rather than rationalwiki - I might have missed something though. You might have missed the fact that the link relates to the Editing Pages section of Wikipedia and some of its resident Editors , and the origin and raison d'êt...
