I gather that one German source was quoted as using a traditional proverb to justify accepting Nodexit:

"Better a horrible end than horror without end”.
Happy little proverb eh? :???:

I'm thinking that Nodexit might be our destiny.

Re: Brexit Plan B?

I've given up trying to work it out.

I have no idea what's going to happen nor what should happen.

Re: Countdown

What about 'meagrest' as in 'he won by the meagrest of margins'.

It's in a couple of on-line dictionaries but by no means all.

Re: A second referendum - or a general election?

The more I learn about this issue, the more convinced I am becoming that every single option is completely unacceptable. I'm not sure where that leaves me... :con That is what I think. I can see no way out of this without big problems. By the way Farage was just on Jeremy Vine. He was one moment be...

Re: A second referendum - or a general election?

Said on Marr this morning - that of the three options that might appear on some sort of 2ref: Leave with no deal, leave on May's deal or don't leave - the latter of those would probably win but with less than 40% of the vote. Whereas in the 2016 referendum, leave won by 52%. This of course would be ...

Thule is also range of top-boxes and other such accessories for cars. I've always thought that was 'thool', but apparently it's 'tooler'.

Re: Ultima Thule etc

Can't think of any right now but have done some howlers in the past - I'll get back when I think of some. When I come across a word I'm not sure of I tend to utilise Spanish pronunciation rules because unlike English they are (almost) completely rigid. Thule would therefore be ' thoo -leh' On names,...
