Useless gold coins

There's an ad on TV ATM (ch4 and 5 mostly) where some bearded chap (who is a lord of some sort I think) talks in sombre and respectful tones to try to persuade us to buy a coin of some sort. He describes in it some detail - its squarish and has got stuff on it like Britannia and national plants and ...

Re: Brexit consequences

...and presumably hope that the result is acceptable to the EU.

My view is that there are only two possible outcomes now and those are leave on the 29th with no deal, or extension and 2nd referendum with the only options being leave with no deal or remain.

This was seized on as a stopper. All the rest of the crapitude was forgotten as the stopper was a ...errr... stopper so the rest of...

The Big Questions

They discussed reincarnation today and it seemed to be just a religion-fest. Various religions - Buddhists, Hindus and the rest discussed their views - about what reincarnation was and how it worked - Karma, whether you could be reincarnated as a cat and so on. No-one (unless I missed it) asked any ...

Re: Brexit consequences

If nothing else, this whole sorry saga underlines just how dysfunctional our political system has become. As things stand, I cannot imagine myself being willing to vote for either of the main parties in the next general election, but voting for anyone else is a waste of time in our system. So I exp...
