Re: Brexit consequences

Lord Adonis seems to have surprised many of his supporters by changing his view on Brexit. Europhile Labour peer Andrew Adonis has befuddled his supporters after he urged Brexiteers to vote for his party while praising Jeremy Corbyn's Brexit plan, despite being one of the most vocal advocates for ov...

Re: Brexit consequences

Is it simply scare-mongering? I really am not sure, but this piece, from Chris Hobbs, a retired Met police officer who worked extensively at border controls in both the UK and Jamaica, is certainly worrying. The unpalatable fact is that the UK’s borders, even before Brexit, are in a shambolic state....

Re: Forum Availability.

Some members might have noticed some downtime today. The migration to the new server happened about 3.30am, but I did receive an email saying to expect "a period of time where your account may appear "suspended" (on the old server) while DNS is propagating to the new server (usually a few hours, at ...

Green technology in diesel cars ‘making allergies WORSE’

I thought diesel cars were generally regarded as not-a-good-idea these days. Here's a short item which probably needs further research. Green technology in diesel cars is making allergies WORSE, according to a new study. Vehicles with a soot filter aggravate common allergies more than those without ...

Re: Brexit consequences

An interesting blog post, dated January 29, 2019, but still relevant to the current situation.

Re: Seasonal Spirits.

And now for something a bit different. I've just sampled a 14yo Single Grain whisky......from Belgium. Named "Goldlys", it is produced by the Filliers distillery, and according to the back label, it is matured for at least 14 years in bourbon casks, and finished for a further year in burgundy casks....

Re: Hello!

Brandin replied to my question earlier this evening, and very quickly, regarding any future amalgamation. I am relieved that he said even if that were to happen, it "would not be with Tapatalk!"

Re: Brexit consequences

Point accepted, obviously. But what would be the portmanteau word combining "Brexit" and "Extinction"? Ho Hum. Whatever. Found a site that creates portmanteau words. Entering those two words, it comes up with.... brexit extinction brextinction, brenction, brinction, bren, brion, brexixtinction, brex...

New buzz word. - "Flextension."😵
I just heard someone say "Flexit", meaning a flexible Brexit. I don't like that. It doesn't make sense to me because once you've removed the "Br" it's just a flexible exit.
Earlier today, I saw the word "Brextinction". Now, I DO like that!

May Claims Asylum In Ecuadorian Embassy In London.

FRESH from asking the EU for an extension to the original Brexit extension, Theresa May has sought refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy in London in a bid to escape the criticism she is receiving for her abysmal handling of everything Brexit. “With one recent high profile tenant leaving, I hear you may...
