Re: Brexit consequences

Peter Kellner on Polling Analysis and Brexit. The effects of demographic changes since the referendum are growing. Bluntly, older, mainly Leave, voters are dying—and younger, mainly Remain, voters are joining the electorate. There is a real prospect that if the people were given the final say on Bre...

Re: Ken Livingstone resigns from Labour Party.

Does anyone on this forum think he is anti-Semitic? I can only speak for myself, but I very much doubt it. But to be honest, I have not been following the internal activities within the Labour Party. I posted the item as I was very surprised that a senior, high profile member, with considerable exp...

"Dangerous time."

"Dangerous time when our country is led by those who will lie about anything, backed by those who will believe anything, based on information from media sources that will say anything. Americans must break out of that bubble and seek truth."

James Comey.

The ONS and Immigration data.

A critical article from politics.co.uk If the ONS doesn't trust its own data, then why should anyone else? This is especially important in an era when voter trust in establishment bodies has disintegrated and senior ministers openly reject the very idea that experts have a role in helping us navigat...

Re: Brexit consequences

A new article relating to foreign investment in the UK. But the commentators are only considered sort of mildly experts, obviously, and even if reasonably reliable, we all know how dependable experts are. And the article seems to fit in directly with the thread title. Third – and largely unreported ...

"Black salve" as a cancer cure.

A recent article from Dr Steven Novella with almost predictable content. Helen Lawson was a nurse, so you would think that she had enough medical expertise to at least recognize rank quackery, but not when it came to her own health. At 50 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, a serious and often te...

Ken Livingstone resigns from Labour Party.

“After much consideration, I have decided to resign from the Labour Party. The ongoing issues around my suspension from the Labour Party have become a distraction from the key political issue of our time – which is to replace a Tory government overseeing falling living standards and spiralling pove...

Re: Laurel or Yanny?

It is very strange. Even when I get to the very right side, I actually hear "YERRIED", or something like. If I start at Yanny, I hear Laurel after only 2 steps to the left.
