Re: Homeopathy on the NHS

'HEALTH: The case for homeopathy' By the end of 2014, 104 placebo-controlled homeopathy trials had been published in peer-reviewed journals. Forty-three found homeopathy was effective, five found it ineffective and the remainder were inconclusive, according to the Homeopathy Research Institute. This...

I'm about 5 miles away and many of the people who live around here still look like that - mostly women.

Re: Bell End Road

I have to say I'm puzzled as to why Wetwang is considered rude (my sheltered life again, I suppose). To me, it sounds like a name Tolkien might have come up with for a rather unpleasant stretch of marshland. I think it's American slang actually. But as far as I know wang or whang is something (I as...

Re: "The ultimate in water woo."

Well done, Buxton! I hope people make good use of it. I expect your local authority has tested the local spring water for safety. Glad it tastes good but what about nitrates, other fertilizers, cow dung and whatever that might have got into it? A chemical analysis would make it clear. When I'm on ho...

Re: "The ultimate in water woo."

:beer I think I might be drinking raw water ...the tap water here in our part of Spain is horrible and down the road is a spring source of water that tastes wonderful. So this is what we go and get and fill all our bottles with. Been doing this for at least 10 years with no bad effects. I hate havin...

Re: Paternoster lift closes

I had to use a lift like this once when I lived in Prague. I think it was in or close to Wenceslas square and it was a bit scary...I was going for a job interview but it was a good conversation piece! ( I didn't follow up the job as it was rubbish money)

[link]https://wiki.tfes.org/Planets[/link] 'Rotundity Q. If the planets are round, why isn't the earth? A. The earth is not a planet. ' I've been reading their site. So, I am just wondering if they believe the Earth is flat, do they also think the moon and sun are flat as well and just happen to be facing us...?

Tick & flea collars made of stones

Someone in our little pueblo is selling tick and flea collars made of stones, have had a look online and assume it is amber. Claims they work and last for ever! Too good to be true? I expect so, however I did used to have some amber beads and they are quite tacky in feeling...anyway that it could wo...
