Quote from Jaqui Smith on Good Morning Britain when asked if the relationship between MP and guard was close... "Yes - but not that bloody close"
Alan Johnson's wife slept with his police bodyguard. I know of at least one other similar situation.

Re: Overrated Tourist Traps to Avoid at All Costs.

I wonder if you saw the similarly underwhelming statue in Ghent? It was pointed out to us on a short river trip. http://www.belgiumview.com/belgiumview/tl3/view0005722.php4 I've been to Gent but didn't see it. I don't remember it being publicised. Millions of homes have small underwhelming features...

Times Square in New York. Not a square at all in the London sense: just an elongated road junction with lots of advertising displays.
If you found that disappointing, you must have really felt let down by Piccadilly Circus.

If you enjoy parody songs about Trump you should check out Randy Rainbow. He's done dozens and some of them are very good:

Re: Overrated Tourist Traps to Avoid at All Costs.

I saw the Manneken Pis a few years ago and couldn't believe how small and boring it was. The chocolate shop just around the corner was selling chocolate replicas that were larger than the original. When I said this to my parents my dad said that my Uncle Frank had visited it during the second world ...

Re: Coconut oil

I thought the main problem with palm oil was the destruction of the wild habitats where Orang Utan's lived. Didn't think it was poisoning my peanut butter, The primary criticism of coconut oil is the high level of saturated fat - 82%. Palm oil can be as high as 86% (although apparently it can be as...

Re: Coconut oil

Well, "pure poison" is obviously an exaggeration. That it isn't good for you has been known for a long time. The NHS recommends against consumption. But it is probably not quite as bad for you as palm oil and that is in lots and lots of things.

You beat me to it. I came here to post this news.

"Despite treatment, he was pronounced dead"

I assume he received real treatment and not the worthless mumbo-jumbo treatment that he dished out to other people.

There have been quite a few at Liverpool Street Station in London over the years. It is particularly well laid out for flash mobs apparently.

Re: ‘The Holes in the Official Skripal Story’,

I agree that the official story appears a bit dodgy at the moment. Bonking BoJo the Clown certainly lied about evidence that it was the Russians. It might have been the Russians but we haven't been given a sniff of any actual evidence. It seems that evidence that novichok did get out of the USSR and...
