I guess the supply chains are a little more robust nearer London. The papers were late on the day that 6 inches of snow fell and the bread nearly sold out in Lidl but but everything else was fine and fully restocked the next day.

As I understand it the customs union defines a border around itself. If Northern Ireland is outside the customs union and the rest of Ireland is inside the customs union then it is required of Ireland that they put in place customs controls to ensure that goods crossing that border have the appropri...

Interesting. Apparently it's a part of Spain that isn't joined to Spain. Though autonomous, the Spanish have sovereignty. Don't ask me how that works. According to wikitravel It is "territorio franco" which means no VAT or other taxes. Perhaps the Jersey model is closer to the cake and eat it ideal ...
