Re: Alexa

Moved Alexa to a permanent position today and she refused to work for a bit. After pushing a few buttons the right lights came on. Alexa - are you OK now? No, I'm tense. It's the last episode of Line of Duty tonight and I know who H is. Alexa, who is H? I know who H is but I'm too scared to tell you...

Re: Tory-run Northamptonshire has no local elections today.

The only way it would be off the agenda is hard Brexit. Anything else would have Farage and his ilk protesting that we haven't left properly - the will of the people has been thwarted.

Re: Tory-run Northamptonshire has no local elections today.

It's bloody stupid is what it is. I have no idea if they are immensely thick or lying. Or just possibly it's that they want Brexit, but they know the electorate has changed to remain, and they need to 'get on with it' in their own interests while they can against the 'will of the people', before the...

Re: The Huawei leak

No it wouldn't get his job back - he probably wouldn't want it anyway.

But it would allow him the satisfaction of 'sticking one up May :???: ' so to speak.

Apparently 42 ministers have left this government since the 2017 election.

Re: The Huawei leak

Interesting - don't know but your analysis sounds reasonable.

I was thinking anyway that given his total denial of any wrongdoing 'on his children's lives' or some such, that he should demand a police investigation.

Your post reinforces that - he would likely be exonerated.

Yes please keep going Tony.

The fact that I don't answer doesn't mean I'm not interested - it means that words cannot express my dismay at what's going down.

3/13 - mostly just pin-sticking - didn't have a clue.

Nice posters.

Here's one I might have recognised.

Re: The Brexit Party

Interesting. There are any number of Brits living in Spain who are ardent supporters of Brexit. No - they haven't thought it through but only in the same way as hardly any Brexit supporters have. It is unlikely that their lifestyle will change much TBH provided they are fully registered as resident ...

Re: Green technology in diesel cars ‘making allergies WORSE’

I don't really see how a filter can increase the amount of something...
They work by netting small particles in exhaust fumes but also increase the amount of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) released into the air.
Must be a bit more complicated than they are saying.

Re: Brexit Plan B?

I gather that the government has instructed the civil service to cease planning for 'no deal' forthwith.

I don't know how significant that is.

Fog

Anyone noticed that we don't really get any anymore? Up to the time I was about 20 (in mid '70s) we regularly (several times a year) used to get fog that thick that you couldn't see across the street and driving was difficult. I would guess visibility of no more than 20 yards. This was in small town...

Now now none of that please Mr Geller- this is the equivalent of the Brexiteers putting stuff on the train tracks.

We should leave these acts of vandalism to that lot.

Re: Brexit Plan B?

It's difficult to counter some of the arguments against having a second referendum. 'Oh yeah - right. Didn't get the result you/the elites/the establishment/the EU wanted huh?' 'Can we replay last weeks footie match because we lost it?' 'What d'you want - best of three?' 'If they hold another refere...
