Here's an interesting piece from Richard Howitt, Labour MEP for the East of England and vice-chair of the European Parliament All-Party Disability Rights Group of MEPs.

Re: Chair of Health Select Committee

One MP who believes in alternative medicines lost in his bid to become chair of the health select committee. David Tredinnick, who champions the use of homeopathy and herbal remedies on the NHS, failed to depose his fellow Tory Dr Sarah Wollaston, who will keep the post for another five years. Tuck...

An MP who believes in alternative medicines has lost in his bid to become chair of an influential Commons health select committee.

Mabus/Markuze.

Apparently, he is out and about and doing what he is not supposed to. I came across this. It appears that Markuze has decided to expand beyond YouTube this week. He posted into alt.atheism on Usenet on July 15, and last night (Friday, July 20) he posted a short, identical message to several forums i...

Re: Avalanche in Chamonix.

Isn't this where you were recently on holiday, Windbybindy? :(

Good job you're back home now, or we'd be worrying.
Yes Ketchup. Tragic news. Although I spent some time admiring the views of Mont Blanc, I didn't for a single minute think of trying to climb up it.

Re: Is this guy for real???

Nick Pope gave a small presentation at the UKS Paranormal Conference in Muncaster Castle getting on for three years ago. I don't really remember a lot about it, but there are at least five other members here who were there, so Polomint or one of the others might be able to recall what he said.

Edit. Got that wrong. Here's a link to Nick's site.

Not very up-to-date.

ETA. Something tells me Bob knows a bit about Nick. Could be wrong, but I'd be interested to read what he says.

"Not Forgotten".

A very sensitive article prompted by the Burzynski clinic saga. Written by forum member "endless psych". I am a skeptic because I care about the damage that quackery can cause. I reckon it’s probably about time I tried to do something about that. Whether or not I can remains to be seen, but I’m not ...

Book warns that MLMs are not profitable.

Data from 40 companies show that an average of 99.6% of MLM participants lost money, spending more on company purchases and minimal operating expenses than they receive in commissions. It is referring to the US market but I don't suppose things are any different elsewhere. http://www.ncahf.org/dige...
