You sure? Checked, have you? :wry

ETA: Bindeweede confirms all your threads are still there and open.
So funny. :wh

Firstly, roscoe is absolutely wrong to say that the thread was removed.

Secondly, roscoe is absolutely wrong to say "you were getting taken apart". Did he really think that the thread had gone, and that he would thus be able to get away with this lie? Or is he so delusional that he looks at a thread where he has done nothing but made a total fool of himself and thinks that he has achieved something?

In my experience, which admittedly is not total across the woo world, there's some classic failures they all seem to share:
  • Doing the "science" last - making any evidence fit the desired conclusion
  • Ignoring / dismissing contrary evidence
  • Almost total failure to research anything
  • Complete lack of basic education in science, maths, history, geography, etc.
  • Ego-tripping and/or bandwagon-hopping
I think roscoe has hit all of those.

So is that it? Has Eric flounced off forever?

No doubt to claim victory/censorship/banishment like the lying weasel that he is.

It certainly looks like it. Or perhaps he is just preparing stuff for another visit.

I suspect he will be back, even just to have a look at his last flounce.

Ah...nope. I had my fill of jumped-up ignorant know-nothings some years ago. Exempli gratia: http://www.skepticreport.com/sr/?p=1140 Roscoe is a pussy-cat, a kitten, by comparison.

I did mention to Tinkerbell a few months back that the forum was a bit quiet - what we needed was a good troll. I think I'll keep quiet in future.

Not that he was a good one...

I think you're right, Chaggle. A "good" troll would have been interesting, in the sense that they had "good" arguments worth some effort. Like two top-of-the-table premier league teams vying for a place in the FA Cup final. Something worth watching and with a reasonable expectation of a good hard scrap.

This one, however, was not "good" in that sense but was particularly piss-weak. Sort of like a social side challenging a premier league professional team - the talent would be severely mismatched, and the outcome predictably lop-sided. And so it was.

Also, thanks Tink!

Apologies Zep. I hadn't read your link to Skepticreport. (Hangs head in shame.)

A good one, and a smiley uploaded specially.
