Man on the Moon (Zetatalk)

Post by Croydon13013 » Thu Nov 05, 2015 1:24 pm

My Google Fu has failed me.

This page: http://www.zetatalk.com/ning/16ag2014.htm

From the nutter-scamming Zetatalk site, has a story. Pics of statues of men on the moon ("on a NASA photo from Google Moon that wasn't scrubbed in time").

I can't find a sensible debunking. Probably because I can't find the right words to search for.

Anybody know anything about this?

Nasa has it as film or lens anomaly - here in The Mail

Thanks, but... The Waily Mail article isn't much better than the Zetatalk article.

It doesn't address the claim that "they are basically everywhere", which may well just be a total lie, but I was hoping for a skeptical debunking rather than garbage from a clueless idiot at the Daily Fail.

Why does anyone even bother? It's clearly the product of an unhinged mind...

D'oh! I should have thought of looking for PP. Especially as he put lots of effort into debunking Zetatalk in the years running up to May 2003 which was their predicted apocalypse (or, as they have since called it, the "white lie").

At least it is a better debunking than the Ha'penny Liar managed.

I find Zetatalk and the idiocy it promotes as messages from aliens to be great fun. It is well into the Victor Zammit zone of crazy. So silly that it is hard to believe that anyone takes it seriously. It takes anything that some idiot has put on the internet or got into a tabloid rag and then the aliens from Zeta Reticula tell us whether it is "genuine" or some kind of hoax perpetrated by the UN or by evil aliens.

But also worth noting that when Nancy Lieder of Zetatalk was claiming that Earth was going to be hit by Planet X in May 2003 killing 90% of us; some people actually sold everything and ruined their lives because of her. So she didn't just make a tidy profit by selling DVDs and books, she did massive damage to real people. And even if you think they deserved it, some had children or other family members who also lost out big time because of the scamming, through no fault of their own. Then the Zetans explained that it was a "white lie" to wrong-foot Bush and other world leaders.
