Your new PM

Playing it straight and reserving judgement.

What do y'all think of her?

Will asking this start a fight?
Yes, that one.

I see she has appointed three Brexiteer leaders to front up that effort...

Boris Johnson - Foreign Secretary

David Davis - Brexit Secretary

Liam Fox - International Trade Secretary

Not bad - I expect her to run them ragged. "Right you three wanted this - so make it work".

Boris might not be quite such a stupid appointment as it seems. He'll probably leave the hard stuff to the other two and his civil servants while jollying off around the world being a showman.

After the last few weeks I thought I was beyond being surprised by any political developments but my jaw dropped when I heard that one.

I suppose there is some logic to it. It puts a big tick in the "Brexiteers in senior posts" box to mollify the Tory Right without appointing a True BeLeaver. And it means Boris is now faced with a choice: to grow up and start taking his role seriously, or to crash and burn (again).

I am once against braced to see what today might bring. :ro

Presumably PM just wrote F. Off next to Bojo's name and some civil servant misinterpreted it.

One problem with current events - I am so rooted to the BBC's Politics Live site which is updated every few minutes, with occasional spells away to read the newspapers (despite the fact that they are history before being printed nowadays) that I find it very hard to get any work done.
