Oprah for President?
Oprah for President?
Is there any possibility?
Many sceptics would have problems with her.

We sort of forgive presidents and prime ministers for having religious beliefs - we don't have much option - they nearly all say they have Christian beliefs.
Would we forgive her a bit of woo if she unseated Trump?

The problem isn't that Donald Trump is a blowhard without the least experience or ability to do the job, but that a sufficient number of people didn't care and so wanted such a person running their country.
Oprah for president would simply be another symptom of the same disease. She has a clear edge on the Don in being a self made woman of colour in a white mans world rather than inheriting her wealth but I've I'm not seeing any background in politics, that would qualify her for the highest office.

The minimum I would hope for in any national leader is someone who makes evidence-based decisions, but sadly that seems to be unfashionable today.

Piers Morgan and Susanna nearly pissed themselves this morning when Sean Spicer said the same thing about her while trying to defend Trump.Matt wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2018 2:50 pmThe problem isn't that Donald Trump is a blowhard without the least experience or ability to do the job, but that a sufficient number of people didn't care and so wanted such a person running their country.

Raygun was the same. It seems America doesn't think it needs a politician in the top job.

Reagan's background was quite solid. But in the foreground was a second term marked by the onset of Alzheimer's Or maybe I'm basing my opinion of him on his portrayal in Spitting Image.

Hard to imagine what Spitting Image would have done with Trump. I mean, he's almost beyond satire.

Forgot that.Tony.Williams wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2018 9:26 amReagan served two terms as Governor of California before becoming president. With a population of 40 million (compared with 60+ million in the UK) and a GDP of $2.448 trillion (compared with $2.619 trillion) it's not a small job.

Here's hoping for the reboot they mentioned to come to fruition.
