Brass on high

Post by Tony.Williams » Sun Sep 03, 2017 1:52 pm

I don't often read news items which delight me, but this one did. A couple of local women, both players in a brass band, were considering how to raise money for charity and, as one of them is a champion hang-glider pilot (hang-gliderist?) and the other had always fancied going up in one, they decided to combine their interests. So they got on board a tandem hang glider, clutching their cornets, and serenaded the area from on high. Just imagine unexpectedly coming across that - positively surreal! :clap

That story tickled me so much I did a search and lo! It is on YouTube. I think they did a good job considering!

In their newspaper interview, one of them said "Like all good ideas it started in the pub". :beer
