Your own photos.

Post by bindeweede » Thu Nov 05, 2015 6:55 pm

Have you taken any pics recently that you are quite pleased with? Or even not so recently. Why not share them here?

I'll start. From a recent trip to France.

{800x600 pixels is usually fine.}

Hint. Castles are always an attraction.

We love our lizards here, and I'm particularly pleased with these two photos of three much-loved ones ... one who lives in the front wall of the house but who has a summer residence under the geraniums outside the kitchen door where he likes to be fed coleslaw, and the other of a mating pair that live in the wall very near our kitchen door.

A bit more picturesque, though, our almond terrace in spring this year ... spring being January ..... :D

That's a real beauty, Bimbow. The light variation is marvellous. :)

St Oswald, Heavenfield, Northumberland - commemorates the victory of King Oswald of Northumbria over the Welsh King Cadwallon of Gwynedd in 633 AD.

From the churches web-page
Quote:
The present building is probably the third on the site of what is believed to be the location where King Oswald (604 -642) raised a large wooden cross before the Battle of Heavenfield (AD 635). Foundations of a Saxon church were discovered by dowsing in the 1950s, this being succeeded by a mediaeval church replaced in 1817 with the present building. The fragment of dog-tooth ornament inside the church on the north wall may be the only visible remains of the second church, unless the font is of that date.

:twisted:

At the moment, I use imgur. You upload your pic from your computer. Some editing is possible, as in reducing the size of the file. It can be a bit temperamental, but it's free. You don't have to open an account, but if you do, your pics are saved for future postings.

It even gives you the BB code for message boards and forums - Image

I think it is worth trying.

But if you can get hold of an old version of Photoshop, you can do more colour and contrast balancing, sharpening and reducing size, then upload to Imgur.

Yes. I used to use Imageshack, which I thought was better, but then it seemed to go flaky.

Perhaps it is better these days. Like most things, you have to spend a bit of time working out how to do what you want.
