Live Traffic Feed

Post by Brian1945 » Mon Nov 16, 2015 12:33 pm

Am I the only one who finds that bloody pop-up announcing "A visitor from XXXX ...... viewed Skeps Forum Y mins ago" damned annoying? It serves absolutely no purpose, can't be cancelled or moved, and it obscures some of the header links. Why is it there - can we opt to remove it?

It was an idea I thought might be useful. Not so sure now. I've asked if it can go to the bottom of the screen. If not, then we'll probably remove.

It would be far less intrusive at the bottom. Pity there wasn't a cross in the corner allowing the pop up to be hidden. That would allow those who want it to keep it and those who hate it to get rid of it.

Brian, the idea flitted into my mind, but has flitted out again ;) ;) It didn't really add very much and had me down as coming from East Lothian for some reason.

If it goes by IP registration, I'd be in Sheffield (Plusnet) - though Google Now somehow contrived to use my IP to put me in Wales.
