The Big Questions

Post by chaggle » Sun Feb 24, 2019 2:37 pm

They discussed reincarnation today and it seemed to be just a religion-fest.

Various religions - Buddhists, Hindus and the rest discussed their views - about what reincarnation was and how it worked - Karma, whether you could be reincarnated as a cat and so on.

No-one (unless I missed it) asked any of them the critical question of *why* they believed this stuff - it was just accepted that they did and that was fine - quite bizarre.

One guy who I think believed that God lived on Venus, asserted that there was no evidence that conscious life ended with death. :fp
