Blowholes.

I remember this one from my childhood. It was quite spectacular in the right state of wind and tide.

I also found this scientific investigation of it...

Right! My very last pic from CVO. In German, it's a "Grottenfahrt".

Well, I know the Germans can be a bit fussy at times, but really .... do they have to cause such a stink?

Chaggle, sorry for not getting round to your post. I used to despair a bit about human folly. Now, quite a bit more...

I rather like this one. It is of a pump house at Bristol Harbour.

There is some information here on wikipedia...

Interesting place and a very nicely presented visitor centre.

Next time I go I will borrow a kid so I can have go at some of the activities without looking too silly.

Except that the kid would show you up by doing them far better...

Wonderful.

There is a lady who lives around here who has a mobility scooter trike that has sort of ape-hangers (remember them?)

Whenever I see her the sounds of Steppenwolf become my earworm.

Chilly here today.

It has been frosty here for the last few days.

Although it got up to about 4C yesterday the hoarfrost stayed all day at least in the shade but today although it's still only 1C it has mostly thawed - which I can't explain. :sh

No, it doesn't look much from the outside - or the inside for that matter - but it was very reasonable.

Oh no! WindyBindy - have you been misbehaving again? It looks like you've been imprisoned there - is that you on the end of that chain?
Allowed outside for 20 mins exercise around the block ...

The garden several minutes ago. One or two plants have died due to the very heavy soil, I'm guessing, but it's looking quite established now.
