Women and men really do see things differently."

"It’s all in the eyes."
Co-author Dr Isabelle Mareschal also from QMUL’s School of Biological and Chemical Sciences added: “There are numerous claims in popular culture that women and men look at things differently – this is the first demonstration, using eye tracking, to support this claim that they take in visual information in different ways.”

I doubt that this is the "first" demonstration of gender differences using eye tracking. I recall seeing a programme many years ago that used eye tracking to show not just gender differences but gay/straight differences in the parts of other people that were looked at first when meeting a stranger. The point of the prog was to show that gay men were hard-wired gay and not making a choice, but they were clearly aware of male/female differences.

Gay myself, and believe it's hard wired for various reasons, but this doesn't prove it (though consistent with it).

All it shows is that gay men act a certain way unconsciously.
Yes, that one.
