I've already said it's beyond parody, I've run out of words!

The favourite to win the next UKIP leadership election is now in hospital with a brain injury after being punched by another UKIP MEP? It's the plot of a really rubbish soap opera. Next week Farage gets kidnapped by martians.

Sounds feasible. They wouldn't like his stance against immigration, after all.

Steven Woolfe, the Ukip leadership frontrunner, has quit the party, saying that the party has become ungovernable and is in “a death spiral” without Nigel Farage at the helm.
Well. Dear oh dear.

As opposed to the "spiral of death" it was in with Farage at the helm.

Very serious allegations against UKIP regarding €20 million fraud, and for alleged involvement with the creation and distribution of child pornography.
The document, which consists of 53 pages, is too long to depict here in full, but is attached as a PDF at the end of this article. However, the introductory paragraph shows how explosive the allegations will be if upheld:

For the purposes of clarity, it must be understood that, while the matter of the 450,000 euros stands as proven, the above accusations are, currently, allegations only.

Quite appropriate, really. Male lions spend most of their days just lazing around, having the occasional shag and taking the choicest bits of the food their females have hunted down for them.

There must be some mistake - they seem to have just elected someone as leader who looks as if he might even be from this planet.

Oh very dear. Oh dearie me. News in, about 30 minutes ago.
Ukip’s leader, Henry Bolton, has unanimously lost a vote of confidence from the party’s national executive committee, plunging it into renewed chaos and potentially a fourth leadership election in just 16 months.

So, are we to expect the return of The Farridge, I wonder.... :con

Fake news - the vote of no confidence was not unanimous - one H. Bolton voted against! :ey

Yes. That seems to be correct. Almost every single media outlet, including the BBC, were wrong.

And none of them seemed to know what a "vote of no confidence" is. If the person who has been voted against doesn't resign then the people voting against them are supposed to resign. The Chair should have told the press that the Executive had all resigned. Nobody even picked up on this! I understand that two of them have resigned this morning. The rest of them are clueless and pathetic even by UKIP standards. And our press are so thick that they didn't even notice.

Actually it was a BBC reporter who mentioned that Bolton was the only exception - the problem is, BBC reporters arrive mob-handed to any major event, seemingly with one from every news programme, national and local, so it must be difficult to keep all of that co-ordinated.

Any bets that Bolton was a plant by the Tories to destabilise UKIP? Are conspiracy theories allowed? :gmc

Poor sod could have kept his girlfriend after all. To Quote the FT

"To throw up a perfectly solid four-week relationship with a woman half his age for something as fleeting as the UKIP leadership shows real commitment to the cause"

But maybe, just maybe, it was the lure of power that drew her, rather than his obviously irresistible attractiveness. :ey

She was working as a racist in a cocktail bar when he met her. But even then she knew she'd find a much better place either with or without him.
