5500% increase in anti-AIDS drug?

Post by bindeweede » Thu Nov 05, 2015 7:32 pm

I've come across several articles similar to this from the.......well.....http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -5500.html

And then I came across this.
When I first saw the story, I was wondering if it was factual. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a disturbing lack of fact checking by people passing along memes. I’ve gotten to the point that whenever someone makes a statement about something, I spend an hour researching it. It’s getting out of hand.
Always interesting to read from another angle.

This spinning of stories to suit a particular agenda happens all the time - and the skeptisphere is often as guilty as woodom IMO.
Don't blame me - I voted remain :con

Bear in mind this is a "good" business move only because the government (or government mandated insurance) pays for it.
Yes, that one.

Looks like Martin Shkreli, who was convicted of three counts of securities fraud on Aug. 4, will now await his January 2018 sentencing hearing in jail.

Martin Shkreli, the notorious former hedge fund manager, is scheduled to be sentenced in U.S. District Court on Friday for defrauding investors.

Prosecutors have asked U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto to sentence Shkreli to at least 15 years in prison. Shkreli’s defense team is asking for much less, 12 to 18 months.
